Whether you are visiting Florence, Pisa or any other location in the Tuscan region you will likely find the Tuscan airport app provided by the region useful. The app covers everything from travel to the airport,parking,flight tracking and even the shops you will find in the airport. If you factor in that the app is free to download it becomes even harder to ignore
The airport appÂ
 starts with a choice of airport. You should pick the airport you are interested in. The information that follows is specific to the airport you select at this stage. If you make a mistake or if you just want to check the other airport no worries you can always just click back to the selection screen.
Florence Italy airport app
Once you have selected the airport of your choice you will see this screen. The various icons should be fairly obvious in their purpose. Pick the one that takes you to the section that interests you
Flight monitor screen
From this section you can track departures or arrivals. If you select a flight you will see scheduled time. Gate number if assigned. The actual time if the plane isn’t on schedule. You can also follow the flight by clicking on the button labeled Follow this Flight.
My Flight
Any flight you follow will be added to the MyFlight section of the app. Not only will you be able to access those flights directly from this screen but you will also receive alerts if the status of the flight changes. That means when it starts boarding or last call for passengers. For arrivals the app will also show the baggage carousel once it’s been assigned.
Transport screen
Provides all the information you might need. Included is an easy way to input the destination into your phone GPS. Unfortunately it appears to only access the web version of Google maps. At the moment the connection to the Google Maps app appears broken. Hopefully an update to the airport app will correct this soon. Until then copy the airport location from the car page and after manually opening Google Maps on your phone paste the airport in.
You will also find bus and taxi information.
Parking screen
The parking screen lets you check on available spaces in the different parking lots and calculate the cost of your stay.
Services page
of the Tuscan airport app shows the shops, restaurants and services you will find in the airport. For most people the services section will likely be the more important one. You’ll find the location of the ATM, Global Blue tax refund, luggage wrapping service and the information booth.
Pisa airport
If you are heading to Pisa airport the app is virtually the same. The information will reflect the transport options for Pisa, parking,services and of course the flights. The layout of the app is no different
