Vueling has announced several new ticket options aimed at combining frequently used choices. Whether or not the new choices are of interest will depend if you’re in one of the groups Vueling is targeting.

Vueling Family

Not surprising the new Family offer is aimed at families.  If you opt for this option you’ll receive

Designed specially to make flying more comfortable for families. It includes seat selection so you can all sit together, hand luggage (10 kg), one checked bag of up to 23 kg per passenger, priority boarding for families with infants under 2, and exclusive check-in desks in Barcelona and Roma Fiumicino.

Let’s break that down. Everybody receives a ten kg carry on so this is not anything new. Priority boarding is only available if your child is under the age of two. Likewise the check in desks are only those at Barcelona and Rome but even that assumes you haven’t checked in online.

To make it clear if you opt for the Family package you’ll get a checked bag and seat selection. For families that travel light the only thing the offer provides is seat selection. If you have a need for multiple checked bags it might be worth looking at .

Timeflex

With a name like Timeflex you can guess it’s an offer aimed at the people who are short of time.

A fare for passengers whose time is extremely valuable. It includes unlimited changes (you only pay the fare difference, if applicable), same-day flight change free of charge, and priority boarding. It also includes Fast Track through security and exclusive check-in desks at certain airports.

Obviously an offer mainly aimed at business travelers that may need to change flights at the last moment.

Space

The imaginatively named Space offer promises more space.

Enjoy more space thanks to our new seats: Space One (row 1, 20% more space), Space Plus (rows 2- 4, 10% more space) and Space (rows 12-14, 20% more space). What’s more, if you book Space One or Space Plus seats you’ll enjoy priority boarding, so you can board the plane first.

Are the new offers worth choosing? You’ll need to decide if the included packages make it worthwhile for you. In most cases you’re likely better off picking only the options that appeal to you.
